When you log in we send your browser a cookie. In that cookie is a random number that changes every time you visit. This lets us know who you are when you make a guess for where the virtual treasure chest is. This cookie only contains that random number - it isn't stored on your hard drive, it contains no personal information, and it is erased as soon as you close the web browser.
This ID cookie is required to participate in our virtual treasure hunts so there is nothing to opt into or out of. If you do not wish to have this cookie, just don't log in. The only information we get is what you give us when signing up. We do not use cookies for any sort of tracking. And again, we will never sell or give away your information.
Depending on your settings, your browser may store your log-in information. We do not control that, so if you share this computer with anyone you probably want to change that browser setting for our website.
One final note, YouTube does use cookies and when we embed the videos on our main page you will see some cookie activity from them. But since all our videos are on YouTube, if you want to participate in our treasure hunts those same cookies will be there either way.
